About Me

New Orleans composer DonDiego Torres began playing music at a young age, but found his true passion for composition during his high school years. Inspired by Murray Gold and John Williams’ sweeping orchestral storytelling, he blends cinematic scores with classical traditions, drawing from film, video games, and life experiences to craft emotionally rich narratives. His work often centers on strong thematic motifs, combining expressive orchestration with structural depth to evoke powerful emotional journeys.As a multi-instrumentalist, he values sound and structure, often exploring music through diverse perspectives. His dedication earned him the Concerto and Composition Competition Award at Loyola University New Orleans in 2023, where his piece The Last Battle was premiered by the university’s symphony orchestra. This led him to be recognized as the Outstanding Composition Student Winner that same year. Now studying Film and Game Scoring at Berklee, DonDiego strives to merge orchestral versatility with modern precision, creating music that is both immersive and enduring.
