New Orleans composer DonDiego Torres began playing music at a young age, but found his true passion for composition during his high school years. Inspired by Murray Gold and John Williams’ sweeping orchestral storytelling, he blends cinematic scores with classical traditions, drawing from film, video games, and life experiences to craft emotionally rich narratives. His work often centers on themes of adventure, romance, and drama, using intricate orchestrations to evoke powerful emotional journeys.A multi-instrumentalist at heart, he values the interplay of sound and structure, often exploring music through diverse perspectives. His dedication earned him the Concerto and Composition Competition at Loyola University New Orleans in 2023, where his piece The Last Battle was premiered by the university’s symphony orchestra. That same year, he was recognized as the Best Student Composer at Loyola. Now studying Film Scoring and Composition at Berklee, DonDiego strives to merge orchestral precision with modern versatility, creating music that is both immersive and enduring.
